Photos of daily life taken in town, in the countryside or at school; ordinary scenes snatched in a tramway, in the privacy of someone’s home or on a swing heading to the sky... It’s easy to identify with the young people playing cards, the teens doing sports, the young parents awed by their first child. The photographer’s lens isolates first one face, then another, until it has drawn the portraits of 25 people who tell their life stories. Not many of them mention having been sick, and yet they all had cancer as children. Chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, relapse... these children, who have all been cured, got off to a tough start.
